Scope and basic principles
This policy applies to LingoReplay (句句听 / キキトレ) for iPhone and iPad. The Mac version is still in development and is not described here as an available client.
The app does not require a developer account and has no advertising or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs. It processes learning materials, but processing on your device does not mean the developer has received them. Information may leave your device when you enable iCloud, open an external lookup or send feedback.
Local materials and learning records
Audio, retained videos, recordings, imported/transcribed/edited subtitles, covers, folders, playlists, clips, bookmarks, playback positions, dictation answers and learning records are stored in the app’s on-device container, using local storage such as Core Data.
These materials support the import, organization, playback, recording, speaking practice, dictation and learning analysis that you choose to use. Local storage and processing do not mean the materials are uploaded to the developer.
On-device speech recognition
The app uses Apple speech recognition and requires recognition to run on the device. If unavailable, it reports that limitation instead of silently falling back to a developer-operated cloud service. The system may download Apple language models or resources, so on-device recognition does not mean the device never connects to the internet.
There is currently no developer-operated cloud AI service. Audio is not uploaded to Alibaba Cloud, Volcengine or OpenAI for transcription, and AI recognition minutes are not sold.
Translation and external lookups
Translation uses Apple’s system translation capability. Apple manages the language resources and related system services.
When you actively choose an external web search, the query text is sent to the selected search service and is subject to its privacy policy. This does not mean the app uploads entire subtitle files in the background.
iCloud sync: optional, with Pro
After you enable it, selected materials sync through CloudKit to your Apple account’s private database for use across devices signed in to that account. You select top-level folders, including their subfolders, audio and related media, subtitles, clips and dictation records. Playlists do not automatically upload audio outside the selected scope.
Synced materials use your own iCloud storage. Success depends on your account, available storage, network and sync status. iCloud capacity, data protection and access controls depend on Apple’s services and the actual configuration. Apple’s terms and privacy policy also apply.
In the app, open More → iCloud Sync to manage whether sync is enabled, its scope and Sync Now. Turning iCloud off, deselecting folders or narrowing the scope pauses or limits syncing; it does not automatically delete existing cloud materials.
Wi-Fi import
When you open Wi-Fi import, files transfer directly to the receiving device through a temporary session on a trusted private local network, without a developer cloud relay. The current transfer uses local HTTP, not HTTPS encryption. Do not use it on public or unfamiliar networks.
Closing the import page invalidates the session. Successfully received temporary files are added to the library. Canceled or failed transfers follow the app’s temporary-file cleanup process.
Recording and system permissions
Microphone access is used when you choose to record or practise speaking; that audio is processed on your device. Photo or file access is used for covers or files you select. Local network access supports Wi-Fi import. Speech, model and other permissions are requested when required by the system.
You can deny or revoke permissions in system settings. The related recording, import or recognition features may then be unavailable. This does not require you to provide your learning materials to the developer.
Pro purchases and restoration
StoreKit and the App Store handle payment and purchase restoration. The app uses Apple-verified transaction and entitlement status to determine access to Pro features.
The developer does not collect bank card details or Apple account passwords through the app. Refunds, revocations and restoration follow Apple’s processes; the app does not promise discretionary refunds. Changes to trial allowances or Pro access do not delete your existing materials, and reinstalling does not guarantee a trial reset.
Feedback email
Only when you choose to open your email app does the app prefill editable device model, hardware model identifier, system version, app version and message text. You decide whether to send it to support@riyuhub.com.
If sent, the recipient receives your sender address, message and any content you choose to attach. The app does not automatically attach your audio library, subtitles, serial number or custom device name. Your email app may add its own signature and has its own service policy; review the message before sending.
Only the individual developer accesses feedback emails, to reply and resolve issues. They are manually deleted within 90 days after the issue is resolved. You may email to request access, correction or earlier deletion. This is a manual process; the website does not automatically clear the mailbox.
Widgets and rebuildable caches
The app and its widgets use a shared container for small display snapshots such as recently played items, favorites and playlists. Rebuildable thumbnails, waveforms and launch snapshots support display and performance, not cross-app advertising tracking.
Retention, Trash and deletion
You can manage materials in the app. Move to Trash retains the content, which can be restored in More → Trash. Emptying Trash or permanently deleting is different from restoring.
Deleting the app in system settings removes its on-device app data; the system’s Offload App option, which retains documents and data, is different. Successfully synced iCloud content and Apple system backups may remain. Removing the app does not remove cloud copies or guarantee that everything was backed up.
Disabling sync does not erase cloud materials. To manage them, check Settings → your name → iCloud → Storage / Manage Account Storage for this app and available management options. Wording varies by system version. Follow the options actually shown and contact Apple Support if needed. The app currently has no user-facing “Delete all cloud data” button.
Local deletion is not proof of physical removal of cloud files. Sync deletion states, offline devices and Apple backups may retain copies. We do not promise immediate erasure from every backup and device.
Your choices and requests
You can manage local materials, revoke permissions in system settings, stop optional sync and decide whether to open external queries or send email.
For feedback information actually held by the developer, you can contact support@riyuhub.com to request access, correction or deletion, or to ask about this policy. Identify the relevant correspondence and request; do not send passwords, card details or an unnecessary complete audio library.
The developer cannot manage your Apple account, system backups or all information held by Apple services on your behalf. Use Apple’s account, storage-management or support channels for those services.
These pages and website access records
These privacy and support pages require no login, purchase or form submission. Their text is rendered by the server. They do not set analytics cookies, read or write browser storage, or load third-party scripts, fonts or analytics services.
Serving pages still requires the server to process network requests. The website configuration records access logs, which may include IP addresses, request times, paths, browser request information and referrers for operation and troubleshooting. This is not an upload of app audio. Logs are retained or removed according to server logging settings and operational cleanup; no fixed automatic deletion period is currently promised.
If you visit the product overview or other website sections, existing first-party analytics uses the riyuhub_analytics_visitor cookie, with a lifetime of up to 400 days. It records a random visitor marker, path, date, device and browser categories, referring site and human/crawler classification. You can block or clear cookies in your browser. Cookie lifetime is not the retention period for server-side statistics. Existing cookies for the same domain may also accompany browser requests to the server.
Login and feedback forms elsewhere on the website are separate from app data flows. The statement that the app has no advertising or analytics SDKs does not mean the entire website has no access records.
Changes and contact
When actual functionality or data handling changes, this policy will be updated and show its last-update date. The policy header identifies the operator, publication status and effective date. The last-update date is not the effective date.
